Vaccine Unlikely To Solve Pandemic

EDITOR, The Tribune

A report out of China - a herd man has caught the Bubonic Plague. A 15-year-old girl from neighbouring Mongolia also has the Bubonic Plague. In May a Kazakhstan couple who visited Mongolia died. The US Centre for Disease Control (CDC) says every year in the US, seven people are infected with the Bubonic Plague. The Bubonic Plague is a 14th century that killed 50 million people. Although thought to be eradicated the Bubonic Plague still kills people in the 21st century.

Both COVID-19 and the bubonic plague are believed to be zoonotic diseases. They evolve. According to Darwinian theory organism evolve and if successful reproduce prolifically. There is the COVID-19 Wuhan strain that is more lethal and less transmittable than the European strain that is less lethal but easily transmittable.

Although many believe that a vaccine will solve the pandemic, I am highly sceptical. Vaccines are helpful but kill many worldwide. According to the International Journal of Environment, resource and Public Health, over 490,000 developed paralysis as a result of oral Pilio Vaccines between 2000 and 2017 in India. There is a risk with every vaccine. It can be harmful to a small percentage of every population. Is it ethical to force people to take vaccines given the inherent risk? I personally, think it is very complex and a vaccine is not a silver bullet. Promoting good health and hygiene is also a lethal weapon since patients with underlying conditions were 12 times as likely to die from COVID-19, CDC finds.

The number one bioethical dilemma I am concerned about is the quality of education of our youth. These new COVID rules seems to be cutting face to face contact of teacher with students. With the young online education is an enhancer not the most effective primary modality. Let us be wise and make sagacious decision; asses and modify.

490,000 out of a population of 1,400,000,000, would be a more a more balanced and less biased statement. That works out to be 0.04% of the population. Yes, vaccines, like any other medications are not without risks, just like driving a car or getting on an airplane etc, are not without their own risks. The only alternative to vaccines is to let the viruses like polio, smallpox etc., run wild around the global population and kill or paralyze a lot more than 0.035% of the population. Think about it !!

This virus started after China signed the Phase One trade agreement with the USA. There is nothing we can do about it here in the Bahamas. This war is being waged by the big boys. We have to wait and see what happens on Nov 3rd. If Biden wins, the virus will magically disappear in about 2 weeks. If Trump wins, the virus will continue and intensify. Will Americans have the guts to fight such a tough war for their freedom? Do they have the morals and stamina that their grandparents and great grandparents had in World War 2? The war currently being fought is just as serious, and has the potential to become as deadly - it simply lacks army tanks, and air force bombs. The damage is inflicted none the less.

China's unmitigated control over world trade has been the status quo for decades. Almost everything you touch is "Made in China". Now that someone is standing up to them (just like what happens to anyone who stands up against injustice like the people of Little Harbour, Abaco are now doing) - they face ridicule and various tactics being used against them.

"Demonized" is the word. How many people hate Donald Trump? Lots. There is a reason for that, and a method used to make them think that way. It's called the television and the social media networks. A well known quote from the famous movie Citizen Kane goes "The people will think what I tell them to think." Some groups want the people to think Trump is bad. This has not been working so well with the excellent economy these past few years, but now Covid is here - coincidence?

China does not want Trump to win re-election. Who knows what sacrifice they are willing to make to ensure he does not? Similar to the old Vegas slogan.......What happens in Wuhan, stays in Wuhan. Interesting how that story just seems to have died and gone away.

Believe me it has not gone unnoticed by US intelligence agencies that soon after the RNC switched its upcoming convention venue to Jacksonville, Florida, suddenly all of Florida became engulfed in a raging storm of Covid-19 with Jacksonville now being a major hot spot. This certainly does beg the question: Is the very sinister and evil Communist Party of Red China very deliberately sending known asymptomatic super spreaders to certain locations in the US with the goal being to prevent President Trump's re-election?
